International

Offenburg University of Applied Science's location in southwest Germany has led to the forging of partnerships with the numerous internationally active companies in the region. Thus the university benefits from and at the same time contributes to the internationalization of the region.

In 1998, our University was one of the first institutions of higher education in Germany to introduce international master's degree programs through our Graduate School. Today the university offers a number international study programs conducted in English. These programs cater especially to international students, who comprise over twelve percent of our student body.

Moreover, the University maintains active exchange programs with more than 50 partner universities worldwide, giving our students more opportunities at study and internships abroad. Due to our proximity with the French border, we also have double degree programs with prestigious French universities.

In addition to the academic offerings, international students are well supported outside of the classroom during their stay at the University. Students can receive help with accommodation searches, participate in cultural programs and language courses, and receive advice on studies and everyday issues.

International students are also supported after they have left the university. The Alumni Network has established a platform to let students cultivate contacts, establish new relationships and share information. The network is comprised of former students from all departments who are now living in various locations around the globe.
