Mentoring the Future
Kickoff of the second round: At the end of October, the eleven mentees met their mentors.

“Mentoring Future” is the name of the program at Hochschule Offenburg that specifically supports female students as they enter the workforce. At the kickoff event in late October 2026, eleven mentees met with their mentors for the first time. The one-year program highlights the pitfalls of starting a career and helps participants successfully navigate them. It consists of two phases: In the first semester, four lecture series are held on topics related to leadership, as well as entrepreneurship and career paths. These sessions highlight the challenges women still face in the workplace today. Personal meetings between mentors and mentees—who got to know each other for the first time at the kickoff—also play a central role. In the coming months, the students will have the opportunity to visit their mentors at work and gain direct insights into their day-to-day work.

The second part of the program, which begins in the upcoming summer semester, focuses on the mentees’ personal skills. They can participate in various seminars on topics such as negotiation, creativity, and emotional intelligence. At the end, they will develop a personal career plan, which they will present at a final session.
