THINK NEW Idea Contest: Student Creativity Meets Business Practice
Creative ideas, innovative concepts, and practical solutions: The THINK NEW ideas network, led by Prof. Dr. Ute Rohbock, brings together a wide variety of companies, public institutions, and startups from the worlds of business, culture, and society with students from the Department of Media. In this innovative think tank, students work in diverse teams to develop ideas and concepts addressing challenges posed by the partner organizations, which focus on the fields of media, marketing communication, and innovation. They will now present the results of the past few months at the annual ideas competition on November 27 in the Winfried-Lieber-Saal (D 001) at Hochschule Offenburg.
An expert jury will award attractive prizes for the best entries in the categories “Most Innovative Idea,” “Best Concept,” “Most Effective Solution,” and “Most Sustainable Impact.” In addition, all attendees will have the opportunity to vote for an audience award in the form of five complimentary tickets to Europa-Park in Rust. The official program will be rounded out by an engaging keynote address by Tobias Fischer, managing director of StartkLahr Innovationen gGmbH. He will speak on the topic “More Than Just a Good Idea: The Path from Creativity to Innovation.” Otherwise, the event—which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—will focus primarily on interaction with students, whether at the information booths of the transfer partners, during the exciting competition presentations, at the awards ceremony, or during the closing reception in the foyer of Building D. The Hochschule Offenburg jam band will provide musical entertainment.
