Your opinion matters!

Every year, around half a million prospective students try to make a good choice from among more than 20,000 degree programs offered at more than 300 Universities. For more than 20 years, the nonprofit Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) in Gütersloh has sought to assist them with its CHE University Ranking. The most comprehensive university ranking in Germany updates its results for approximately 40 disciplines every three years on a rotating basis.

In the 2025–26 winter semester, it was the turn of students in bachelor's programs in economics.

In the summer semester of 2026, students in master's programs in economics will be surveyed.

Information on the CHE Ranking

The Basic Idea

The basic idea behind the CHE University Rankings is that different criteria are important to each prospective student when choosing the right University. Some are drawn to a large university with cutting-edge research, while others feel more at home at a small university of applied sciences with plenty of internship opportunities in the surrounding area. Only those who can sift through a wealth of information and compare options based on their own criteria can make a good choice. Furthermore, the quality of a degree program cannot be determined solely by numbers, data, and facts. The people who can authentically and fairly assess the quality of a degree program are those who are currently enrolled in it. That’s why we’re reaching out to you! We’d like to ask you to honestly and fairly evaluate various aspects of your degree program in the following questionnaire.
