Every year, Hochschule Offenburg offers an exclusive summer school program at the University of Burgos—a highlight of your academic journey that combines academic knowledge with the Spanish way of life.

What to Expect: Academia, Language, and Culture

In Burgos, you’ll become part of a unique learning community. Under academic supervision, you’ll immerse yourself in an international setting:

• Academic Value: You’ll attend lectures in English and complete your coursework (essay and presentation) in English as well. In return, you’ll earn 3 ECTS credits toward your elective.

• Language skills: In addition to English, Spanish is part of the curriculum—whether you’re a beginner or already have some prior knowledge. Intensive courses are available for various language levels.

• Practical Focus: You’ll visit international companies in the region, gaining insight into the local economy.

A program that leaves nothing to be desired

The Summer School is much more than just lectures. The varied social program introduces you to the culture of Castile:

• A city scavenger hunt and a group tapas night to get to know the other participants and the city.

• Guided tours of the famous Burgos Cathedral and the Museum of Human Evolution (MEH).

• Time for direct interaction with Spanish professors and local students.
