In 2018, a study on the acceptance of Social Robots in the Arab world (as well as Germany and Japan) was conducted. Based on the findings from this study, the new project for the Workgroup Innovation in 2019 has two phases: In phase 1, the findings will be used to design and program a robot, based on an existing robotic platform. In phase 2, the robot will be evaluated with groups of university students in various Arabic countries.
