Our HSO AI students Elias Folwaczny, Reimund Schmidt, and Jose Castillo gathered in Valencia with their ChallengeEU peers from Valencia and Olsztyn for an intensive and enriching learning experience. The program featured interactive sessions and a lively inter-university exchange. A particular highlight was a challenge prepared by our students as part of a course on data visualization with engineering students. The task was to provide insights—in the form of informal presentations—into the tools and methodology used at their home universities in the fields of machine learning and data visualization. This fostered a practical peer-to-peer exchange on working methods, technological standards, and didactic concepts. In collaboration with Unitree Robotics, the students worked in interdisciplinary teams on a practice-oriented scenario.

Beyond the academic dimension, the stay in Valencia was a source of great inspiration. It strengthened the ties between student initiatives within the ChallengeEU Alliance and underscored the potential of cross-border collaboration. Personal exchange not only fosters professional networking but also a shared European identity.
