Hochschule Offenburg at the Käpsele Festival: Three Highlights in Freiburg
Through the Zukunft.Raum.Schwarzwald innovation network, Hochschule Offenburg will once again participate in this year’s Käpsele Innovation Festival on July 16 at the SICK Arena in Freiburg with three highlights.
Panel with Prof. Dr. Thomas Wendt, Director of the Work-Life Robotics Institute (WLRI): At 12:00 p.m., Prof. Dr. Thomas Wendt will participate in the panel discussion “The Hype Around Robotics: What Can They Actually Do?” on the MACHN stage. The panel discussion brings together experts from research, industry, and technology transfer to examine the areas where robotics is already creating real added value today, which processes are undergoing lasting change, and where expectations exceed what is technically feasible.
“Industry on Campus” Masterclass with Prof. Alfred Isele: In this masterclass, Prof. Alfred Isele will present the “Industry on Campus” technology transfer project, which aims to strengthen the future viability and competitiveness of large-scale production in the southern Upper Rhine region. Maschinenbau thus once again proves itself to be a driving force behind innovative technologies and, through this initiative, makes an important contribution to securing a skilled workforce.
move.mORe Experience Station: At the move.mORe booth—a joint project of the universities of Karlsruhe and Hochschule Offenburg focused on sustainable mobility in the Upper Rhine region—visitors can try out an electric car driving simulator, explore a showroom for energy systems, and experience a digital roadshow on logistics.
