Shaping Neurodiversity Together: ODEI/MARKET Partnership

Yesterday, our MARKET and ODEI visions came together for an inspiring collaboration at Stadtraum Offenburg, where we launched our first workshop on neurodiversity. Led by neurodiversity expert Sylvia Drews, the programme began with an insightful introduction to neurodivergent patterns in the workplace, including how neurodiversity like ADHD and autism may present in different individuals.

The workshop was highly interactive, bringing participants together to develop ideas on how to create more inclusive spaces that support neurodivergent people. Discussions explored how these approaches can be applied not only in professional environments but also across educational spaces. Participants also reflected on practical steps to improve workplace policies around neurodivergence, with the goal of fostering environments where individuals can express themselves safely and confidently, free from judgment.

The workshop demonstrated how ChallengeEU creates spaces where diverse perspectives meet: academic expertise, student voices, institutional stakeholders and external practitioners working together. By bringing these groups into one room, the alliance moves beyond dialogue and toward shared responsibility for inclusive transformation. Attendees reported feeling inspired by the thoughtful exchange and collaborative spirit that shaped the workshop.

The event also provided an opportunity to connect these discussions to ChallengeEU’s mission: to approach ideas differently, and ultimately; to challenge the now, in unity.
