Andreas Klöble, director of the IHK Academy of the Southern Upper Rhine, once again took the opportunity to personally present the IHK certificates to the six female students during a small ceremony. They had successfully passed the “Business and Labor Law” exam at the department of Business, as well as the two IHK exams on practical human resources management and the IHK technical interview as their final exams, achieving excellent results.

“I am very pleased that we were able to find dedicated students who actively seized the opportunity to further their education beyond their actual degree program to become certified (IHK) human resources specialists. In my opinion, this is a clear added value,” explained Prof. Dr. Thomas Baumgärtler, the vice dean for academic affairs at the department of economics, during the certificate presentation. At the same time, he thanked the two lecturers, Roswitha Mühl and Alexander Bleich, for their great dedication and was already looking forward to the next group of graduates, whose completion of the program will also be celebrated in due form next year.

The IHK continuing education program “Human Resources Specialist” was launched in close cooperation with the IHK Academy of the Southern Upper Rhine to provide students in all bachelor’s degree programs with an additional professional certification in the field of human resources. Together with Roswitha Mühl, Alexander Bleich, and Andreas Klöble, Prof. Dr. Thomas Baumgärtler developed the program with the goal of meaningfully supplementing existing coursework and opening up new career prospects. The program now offers an excellent opportunity for professional development in the field of HR—even while students are still in school.
