Team Magma wins all of its group matches in the seeding round
In the seeding round, they secured very decisive victories against the two Brazilian teams in Group A, ITAndroids and BahiaRT, with scores of 10–0 and 6–0, respectively. As expected, the matches against the two Chinese teams were much closer. While Magma managed to beat Nexus 5–0, their 2–0 win over Dionysus involved a great deal of luck. Dionysus was actually the stronger team but narrowly missed the goal about ten times. Magma had exactly two chances, both of which they converted—it doesn’t get any more efficient than that.
And in Group B, too, a Chinese team demonstrated its potential. Apollo3D won its first three games, racking up a total score of 26–0. Even against the reigning world champion, FC Portugal—which hadn’t won a single game in the seeding round—the Chinese swept them off the field with a 9–0 victory. “They seem to be in a league of their own and are almost unbeatable. But we’re not giving up, and we’re working on further improving our performance,” said team leader Klaus Dorer, commenting on Apollo3D’s result.
Due to technical issues, there is currently no live stream available for the 3D Simulation League in which Team Magma is competing. However, a link to all matches should be available again starting tomorrow.
