On January 17, 2026, Hochschule Offenburg welcomed eleven students from the Integrated Vocational High School (IBG) in Lahr to a trial lecture in the field of industrial and organizational psychology. The event took place at the Gengenbach Education Campus and was led by Prof. Dr. Julia Roederer.

The lecture focused on the topic of workplace health management, which Julia Roederer used to convey key concepts in work and organizational psychology in a practical way. The students gained insights into the importance of mental health in the workplace as well as measures to promote motivation and performance in organizations. In a brief presentation that followed, Julia Roederer introduced the Wirtschaftspsychologie degree program at Hochschule Offenburg. In particular, the direct exchange with students from Hochschule Offenburg provided the high school students with authentic insights into everyday student life, the course content, and potential career prospects.

The introductory lecture is part of the partnership between Hochschule Offenburg and IBG Lahr and was facilitated by David Müllerleile and Lydia Maier-Isele. The goal of the partnership is to promote academic orientation early on and to actively support the transition from high school to college.
