Online-Workshop: Conference and Academic Presentation Skills for PhD

In the global scientific community, the persuasive communication of research findings is just as crucial as the quality of the data itself. The workshop "Conference and Academic Presentation Skills" focuses on the intersection of academic depth and rhetorical sovereignty. The objective is to provide the essential tools required for a confident performance in international academic settings.

• Confident conference performance: Presenting research clearly and convincingly in international academic settings

• Handling challenging questions: Responding calmly and professionally to critical, unclear or inappropriate audience contributions

• Managing misunderstandings: Clarifying questions diplomatically when contributions reveal incomplete or incorrect understanding

• Explaining visuals effectively: Structuring and presenting graphs, data and complex visuals in a clear and engaging way

• Structuring your talk: Using precise language to guide your audience through topics and subtopics with smooth transitions

• Gaining thinking time: Applying strategic phrases and techniques to stay in control and formulate strong answers under pressure

• Academic discussion skills: Leading Q&A sessions with clarity, confidence and authority

• Language for impact: Using concise, professional English for publications, presentations and academic exchange

The exact date is still being finalized: the options are May 26th or May 29th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in either case. The workshop language is English. An entry-level English proficiency of B2 is expected. Participants registering by April 23 can actively participate in the selection of the workshop date. For registrations after April 23, participation applies to the date already finalized. Registration via google forms.
