Electrical Engineering/Information Technology
Become an expert in the connected world. You’ll learn to design the core of modern technology yourself: You’ll design complex microchips using hardware description languages (HDLs) and specialize in theoretical electrical engineering. At the same time, you’ll learn how to produce professional digital media for your lessons.
Mechatronics
At the intersection of mechanical engineering, electronics, and Informatik. You’ve mastered interdisciplinary systems thinking and are preparing to help students understand how smart machines work.
Informatics / Business
Bridge the gap between technology and business. You’ll delve into distributed systems and application development, while also gaining an understanding of the dynamics of startup companies and international economic relations.
Media Technology / Business
Master the technical aspects of communication. From specialized printing processes to e-learning concepts and educational psychology: You’ll learn how messages are received and how to convey knowledge in a way that lasts.
Perspectives
With a master's degree in education, you get the best of both worlds and stay flexible:
Plan A: Secondary school teaching. You’ll enter the teacher training program for secondary school teaching directly—without having to complete a university degree. Afterward, you can teach at vocational schools, technical vocational schools, vocational colleges, technical high schools, and technical training schools.
Plan B: The private sector. As an education professional among engineers, you’re ideally suited for corporate training and continuing education, human resources, educational management, or technical training in companies.
Plan C: Research & Science. Use your master’s degree as a foundation for an academic career, for example by pursuing a Ph.D. in vocational and business education.
Become a role model for young people
As a teacher at vocational schools, you combine a passion for technology with a sense of responsibility. You guide young people on their path to a career, share your expertise, and enjoy the benefits of a stable job. You’ll help shape education while benefiting from regular work and vacation schedules, flexible part-time options, and the prospect of becoming a civil servant. It’s a job that’s meaningful and gives you plenty of freedom.
