Course Content
Your bachelor’s degree was just the beginning. In the master’s program in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, you’ll build on your existing knowledge—even if you previously studied another engineering discipline or a field closely related to Industrial Engineering.
We’ll prepare you for the global economy: With a focus on digitalization and sustainability, you’ll delve into current interdisciplinary topics. The best part? You design your own program. Choose exactly the two specializations from our five that align with your goals:
Controlling & Risk Management: Are you interested in auditing, compliance, controlling, risk management, and corporate management? Here, you’ll gain the tools you need for a successful start to your career.
Artificial Intelligence & Robotics: Learn how artificial intelligence and machine learning work in practice, and apply your knowledge to your own projects. In the field of robotics, you’ll work with modern industrial robots. You’ll learn to create simulations and independently carry out programming for real-world tasks.
Lean Management & Virtual Engineering: Discover how to design lean and sustainable processes and which digital planning methods can help you do so.
In Lean Management, you’ll specialize in lean production and expand your knowledge to include value stream management, administrative processes, and sustainability. In Virtual Engineering, you’ll learn to digitally plan and simulate entire factories and processes.Logistics Management: Logistics ensures success in industry and commerce. But how can supply chains be made efficient and resilient to crises? In this specialization, you’ll learn not only the fundamentals of logistics management but also about digital solutions and alternative propulsion systems. Of course, you’ll work on and with projects, case studies, and exercises from industry and commerce.
Business Informatics: Modern IT systems drive nearly every area of a business. They form the basis for decisions and entirely new business models. In this specialization, you’ll gain practical IT skills to master the challenges of digital transformation.
Perspectives
After completing your master's degree, many doors will be open to you: in industry, retail, consulting, professional associations, or on the path to self-employment. Our graduates take on responsibilities across the entire value chain, for example in controlling, finance, sales, industrial engineering, or in production-related departments.
State-of-the-art labs, hands-on projects, and industrial case studies prepare you for the real world. And since you’ve already solved complex technical and business problems during your studies, you’ll step right into specialist and leadership roles with confidence—even at internationally oriented companies.
