Everything You Need to Know

Course Content

We focus on interactive and experiential learning. You’ll work on realistic challenges with the support of mentors who bring real-world experience to the table. Here’s what your personal journey will look like:

Leadership, Change & Strategy

You’ll learn to rethink leadership and position companies for the future. In doing so, you’ll apply your knowledge to the fields of organizational development and change management. You’ll design strategies for resilient organizations and learn how to best shape the collaboration between people and technology in the context of digital transformation.

Coaching & Process Facilitation

A core component of your program is systemic consulting and coaching. You’ll master professional conversation techniques and apply insights from positive psychology to strengthen people’s self-efficacy and well-being. Through hands-on modules and mentoring sessions, you’ll practice taking on the role of a mentor or teaching coach and support teams in a solution-oriented manner.

Methods, Tools & Future Skills

From research methodology and diagnostics to creative solution formats such as workshops: You’ll gain the full toolkit to analyze processes and effectively convey content. In the “Future Skills” modules, you’ll critically engage with innovative technologies, plan your own learning expedition with your course, and work on real-world projects for clients from business and society.

Personal Empowerment & Self-Management

Your degree program is also your personal “empowerment journey.” You’ll reflect on your own strengths, develop a resource-oriented mindset, and strategically plan your next career steps. Through progressive “challenges” in realistic settings, you’ll test your skills and grow through the demands of real-world practice.

Even while you’re still a student, you’ll build connections with selected companies, industry partners, and interesting individuals from various sectors of society. This happens through Business Project Challenges, practical projects, guest lectures, and a mentoring program that supports your personal development during your first and second semesters.

Perspectives

After you graduate, you’ll be ready for roles of responsibility that combine psychology, consulting skills, and management knowledge. You’ll work where change is happening:

  • Organizational Development & Change Management

  • Leadership Development

  • Talent and Human Resources Development

  • Coaching and Consulting

  • Talent Acquisition Management

  • Strategy Consulting

  • Project Management

  • Occupational Psychology Consulting

  • Occupational Health and Safety Management

  • Technology Integration Consulting

  • Conflict Management and Mediation

  • Diversity Management

  • Market and Opinion Research

Another option: With the appropriate qualifications, you can pursue a Ph.D. after completing your master's degree and work in research.

Highlights from the Study Program

Your Bonus: Systemic Coaching

We make it easy for you to pursue certified coaching training. Several of your courses are closely aligned with the guidelines of the DGSF e. V. (German Society for Systemic Therapy, Counseling, and Family Therapy). After you graduate, you can have up to 120 course units recognized toward the “Systemic Coaching” continuing education program. This means you’ll already have completed 1/5 of the continuing education requirements while earning your master’s degree. It’s a real head start that saves you time and money.

Think Systemically, Act Effectively

The systemic perspective is the common thread running through your studies. After all, in the working world, almost no problem can be solved in isolation. We view organizations as living systems in which everything is interconnected. That’s why you’ll learn not only to focus on the individual but also to understand the interactions within teams and companies. This will help you stay calm even in complex situations or when faced with resistance, and find solutions.

Details on Changing Careers to Pursue Continuing Education in Systemic Coaching

Through a case-by-case review at a DGSF e. V.-certified institute, you can have your participation in the courses listed below—totaling a maximum of 120 instructional units (UE) as part of the lateral entry program and, building on that, enroll in the “Systemic Coaching” certificate programs.

The following courses in the program are closely aligned with the DGSF e. V. guidelines for Systemic Coaching:

  • “Introduction and Fundamentals of Systemic Coaching” (30 UE) in module WPM-02 “Coaching Fundamentals”

  • “Systemic Conversation and Process Facilitation” (30 UE) in module WPM-02 “Coaching Fundamentals”

  • “Leadership and Organizational Change” (30 UE) in module WPM-05 “Strategy and Leadership”

  • “Behavior in Organizations and Organizational Development” (30 teaching units) in module WPM-06 “Organizational Development and Change”

As the basis for these recognition procedures, Hochschule Offenburg will issue you certificates of attendance upon successful completion of the courses, which specify the number of instructional units, the course content, and the names and qualifications of the instructors.
