Alexander Gehringer

Berufstätigkeit

Alexander is currently dep Head of Work-Life Robotics Institute at Offenburg University, where he helps to build an Institute for AI-enabled Robotics, and a PhD candidate at the department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Strategy at Northumbria University, UK. He studies manufacturing companies' transformation towards new business models through technology and new capability build up. Moreover, he is lecturer for a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules within the Faculty of Business and Industrial Engineering at Offenburg University, Germany. This includes lectures in Business Management, Strategic Decision Making and Business Research in both English and German. He holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering (M. Eng.)

Before starting his doctoral studies, Alexander co-founded an automatic guided vehicle project, which succesfully raised funding from industry and governmental grants and he held several positions in industry, working in Strategy and Corporate Development, Industrial Engineering and Project Management in both Germany and Scotland.
