Orientation week-end ECM 1 in Freiburg

When arriving in Offenburg, our new Master´s degree program students need to deal with quite a lot of information.
There are introduction days with information about visa issues, registration procedures, health insurances, the German university system, weekly semester hours, credits, course registration and a lot more still...

In order to ensure a good start into the study program, country and culture for everyone, each year the Graduate School team takes their newcomers on an orientation week-end, where they can ask all their questions and hopefully get rid of all their doubts.
Additionally they get a chance to better get to know the program manager, the coordinator as well as their study colleagues. The week-end also always leaves some time for sight-seeing.
This year, ECM spent 3 days in the city of Freiburg, where we visited the local Ganter brewery (including a beer tasting event) and were told some of the hidden secrets of Freiburg on a really amusing and entertaining city tour.

Prof. Treffinger, head of the study program, visited the group to answer all FAQ questions and made sure there were no remaining doubts on questions like which subjects to choose this winter semester, how to register for courses etc.

We hope that everybody had a great start into the first semester and we wish each of our new students a successful study period in Germany!
