Forschungsprojekte

  • Peer-to-Peer-Netzwerke:
    Untersucht werden aktuell Konzepte der Datenaggregation unter Verwendung von Peer-to-Peer-Netzwerken. Die Anzahl ausgetauschter Nachrichten soll dabei unter Beibehaltung einer statistisch definierten Approximation der Aggregationszielfunktion reduziert werden. Dazu wird der Trade-off zwischen Approximationsgüte und Nachrichtenkomplexität in solchen dezentralen Netzwerken untersucht. Die Herausforderung besteht darin, den geigneten Entscheidungsprozess zu entwerfen, der bestimmt, ob ein Knoten seinen aktualisierten Zustand an seine Nachbarn sendet. Der entworfene Algorithmus wird analysiert und der aus der Aggregationsberechnung resultierende Approximationsfehler abgeschätzt.
    Im Kontext der Forschungsarbeiten läuft ein kooperatives Promotionsvorhaben.
