Workshop for Doctoral Candidates | AI in the research process

Workshop: Using AI tools in the research process – from data collection to presentation, with a focus on large language models.

The use of AI tools in writing is a widely discussed topic. What possibilities do AI tools offer for academic writing, and what limitations and consequences should be considered? In the workshop, we will discuss questions of responsibility and authorship on the one hand, and on the other hand, we will deal with the efficient use of different tools in the various phases of the academic writing process, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. Participants will have the opportunity to share their specific needs and questions, test different tools themselves, and learn how they can be used. The aim is to critically reflect on the use of AI in academic writing, to develop knowledge of various tools in the different phases of academic text production, and to use the tools effectively and responsibly in their own academic work.

The workshop, conducted in German, is offered free of charge to doctoral candidates. Registration is via a Google form. Further information is available there. There are still a few places available, which will be allocated on a rolling basis.
