On Sunday, after a guided city tour in Aachen, the group explored the very special moor landscape of the “Hohes Vann” right next to the Belgian frontier. The next day the group visited the ATOMIUM in Brussels, a building originally constructed for the Brussels World's Fair in 1958. After a reception in the permanent representation of the Land Baden-Württemberg in Brussels, the European Parliament was visited before the group discovered the beautiful center of Brussels with its Grand Place and the famous Manneken Pis.
The last day of the excursion led the group to Trier, the oldest town in Germany. A guided tour taught the students a lot about the Roman life more than 2000 years ago and showed the very animated and international atmosphere in this very old beautiful town.
