ModVal 2025: Symposium on Modeling and Experimental Validation of Electrochemical Energy Technologies

We cordially invite you to ModVal 2025, the 21st Symposium on Modeling and Validation of Electrochemical Energy Technologies, which will be held in Karlsruhe, Germany, on March 11-12, 2025.

Confirmed plenary speakers

Prof. Dr. David Howey (University of Oxford, UK)
Dr. Adam Weber (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA)

Scope

The Modval symposium was initiated in 2004 to discuss progress in the modeling, simulation and experimental validation of rechargeable batteries, all types of fuel cells, electrolyzers, and other electrochemical energy conversion technologies. Taking place yearly in spring, the symposium alternates between locations in Switzerland and Germany. The symposium is proud of its longstanding tradition of discussing details of model development, numerical implementation and dedicated validation methodologies, which is not within the scope of other major conferences. The symposium provides an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss new approaches and initiate international collaborations.
